Joe Satriani is absolutely one of the most incredible players out there. His sound is simply awesome and he’s a complete technician. Weeks before I saw his past student Steve Vai at the same venue. Both blew me away however Satch adds a more melodic style. Very few guitar players can perform for 3 hours without vocals and keep the audience engaged. Jeff Beck is the only other player that can literally leave you stunned if you’ve ever picked up a guitar. Kudos to drummer, Kenny Aranoff who is a monster on the drum kit. This Elephants of Mars show is all extraordinary guitar - no crazy lights and fire - simply an evening of guitar work highlighted by awe dropping harmonics that no one can emulate.
